Antique coffee service, Satsuma, Japan. The coffee set was made during the period of Japanese history under the name Meiji (mid-19th - early 20th centuries). The set consists of fifteen hand-painted and gilded items in the form of birds, butterflies and flowers. All items are in perfect condition, no chips. The set consists of an unusual teapot with a lid, a dragon-shaped spout and handle, a sugar bowl with a lid and a milk jug, six cups and six saucers.
