Start by discovering the value of your item or collection with a free appraisal. Please send details and images of your items to our email: valuation@kotlyars.com. In addition, online appraisals with our specialists are available by prior appointment. For more information, please contact us by email or via WhatsApp.

If you decide to offer your item at auction with Kotlyars, a specialist will advise the most suitable auction for your item and an appropriate price estimate. Then, we will send you a Consignment Agreement. This is a contract that outlines our terms, fees and conditions of business.

Registering to bid is quick and simple through our website. You can typically register for an auction at any time, even while the auction is in progress. However, it's a good idea to register early to ensure you don’t miss out on any of the lots. How to find an Auction to register for: 1. Log in to your account. 2. Choose the auction you’d like to participate in. 3. Click on 'Get approved to bid'. 4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your registration. You may need to add a card as part of the process. Registering from a Lot Page: If you already have a specific lot in mind, you can register directly from the lot page: Click on 'Register to bid online' on the right-hand side of the page. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your registration. You may need to add a card as part of the process. Once complete, you'll receive a confirmation email. As soon as the auction house approves your registration, you’ll get another email and be able to bid.

How You'll Know You're Approved Email Notification: You'll receive an email from us once the auctioneer has approved your registration. Bid Button: On the day of the auction, the ‘bid’ button will change from grey to blue, indicating that you’re approved and ready to bid. Approval Timeframe The approval process can vary depending on the auctioneer. If you want to expedite this process, consider reaching out to the auctioneer directly to ensure you’ve met all their criteria for approval. You can find their contact details on the ‘Auctioneer’ page. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact the auctioneer for more information.

From the auction catalogue page, simply click the blue 'Watch auction' link found just below the "get approved to bid" button to watch the auction in real time. If you don't see this button, it means the auction hasn’t started yet. Alternatively, if you're viewing a specific lot, just click the red 'Watch the auction as a guest' button to follow along. Registration is only required if you decide to place a bid.

After the successful auction of your item, you will receive payment into your nominated bank account, minus Kotlyars commission and fees.
